Surefed Feed, is a feed mill, which is
located just across the railroad tracks on the north side of Brady Creek,
which was purchased from Allied Feeds in May of 1997.
Specializing in high quality feeds for a
variety of stock animals, they have distribution in eight states including
Texas, California, Missouri, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee,
& Ohio.
Working closely with respected
nutritionist Terry Blair, David Barksdale and Surefed Feed have developed
a meat goat feed that has been the primary feed in meat goats that have
won every major livestock show in the southwest region. Surefed champion
goat feeds have already produced grand champion goats at the Texas,
Louisiana, and Oklahoma State Fairs.
Also, Surefed Feed is a major provider
of premium deer feeds developed in conjunction with the efforts of Terry
Pluenneke.
Surefed Feed is a local business
comprised of a feed mill that makes and distributes various feeds to their
regional sales outlets and a retail feed store that sells and markets a
variety of farm and ranch supplies.
David Barksdale is the General Manager,
Ronnie Jonas is the plant mill manager, Rhonda Christy is the plant office
manager, Pam Hernandez is the plant billing clerk, Kay Curry is the plant
accounts payable clerk, and Linda Smart is the manager for the retail farm
